The final 8 minutes of my treadmill walk include 5 minutes of a comfortable but brisk walk followed with a 3 minute cool down phase. I usually end my treadmill routine with about 15 minutes of quality stretching.

Although this walking routine on the treadmill doesn't have all the glitz and glamour of the latest workout method made popular by the numerous workout magazines is can still be an effective weight loss provider. The truth is walking is without a doubt one of the best forms of low impact exercise.
